Children hold an inherent wonder towards the world. They constantly surprise themselves as they learn new things. In many ways, we all still have that childlike wonder that can reignite within us. This episode talks about surprising yourself.
Lately, I thought about planning vs spontaneity and how we structure our calendar. I even asked people around me, and one thing that came up often was the phrase, “I surprised myself.” This phrase sparked my curiosity about why surprises delight us, why they bring us joy, and what even constitutes a “surprise.”
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP136’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. Surprises can happen at any time, especially if we make room for them. We invite new experiences when we don’t have expectations, move with an open heart and go with the flow. We can have experiences that are beyond what we knew was possible.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about making room for the spontaneity of surprises in your life. Surprises prompt the light within us to shine. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- When was the last time you heard yourself say, “Wow, I surprised myself” at something that happened?
- During that time, was it planned into your schedule or was it a moment of spontaneity?
- Does that phrase light you up?
- How can you call in more of those moments?
- When was the last time you dropped into your inner child and had time to play without worry or an agenda?
- How do you feel when you let your imagination surface?
- How do you want to share that moment with others?
- How do you want to capture that moment for your present and future self?
The spontaneity of surprises extends into our interactions with others. Who knows where life will take you or what life will gift you when everyone brings their own sense of joy and exploration to an experience?
It’s fine to embrace the sense of awe and curiosity in surprises. Give yourself permission to explore with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Are there opportunities for you to bring out your inner child to explore new, joyful experiences?
- How can you set aside time for these moments?
- Are you exploring experiences that aren’t the norm for you?
- Are you inviting moments that can surprise you and others around you?
- Are you staying present in those moments?
- Where will you give yourself a chance to have more surprises?

There isn’t enough room to appreciate life’s present moment if our minds are cluttered with distractions. What are you doing to stay away from distractions and stay in alignment? This episode talks about clearing and getting clear.
We have the ability to feel energized and happy with each and every step that we take. It’s possible, but we also know it’s not a constant feeling in life. That’s okay since any lows or moments of un-alignment remind us of what’s really important, along with reminding us of the freedom to choose again. We start to want something new that will bring us back into harmony with ourselves. From there, we figure out where we want to go next.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP135’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. As I evolved, I learned to embrace the lows as much as the highs. It’s a signal to pay attention to what’s happening in life. I’m not saying it’s the most enjoyable experience, but there’s always a piece we can leverage for our greater good. It’s a chance to ask, “What’s happening for me in this moment, and what do I need to do to get back in alignment?”
On our Wise Walk, I talk about clearing your heart, your head, and your space. You begin to see choices and actions that align with your True Stride. By looking inwards, you can get clear on what helps you feel in alignment, then start to attract more of that. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- What are you holding onto and why?
- Is what you’re holding onto serving you?
- Are you prepared to let it go if it’s not helpful?
- If it’s too hard to let it go, can you reflect on why you think you need it in this present moment?
Getting clear can also mean making room. You have space to make more mindful decisions once you release what’s no longer serving you or change your schedule to match your current energy availability.
You get to honor yourself when you notice what is and is not aligned with what you envision for yourself. Get intentionally clear with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- How can you recycle, pass on, or give away energy that no longer serves you?
- What can you shift to help elevate another person’s energy?
- As you look at your calendar, is everything on there really needed?
- Is there anything you can postpone?
- Can you give yourself grace and space to clear your calendar more?

We all have our ups and downs in life. Sometimes those moments create a ripple that carries forward and alters how we move through the world. This episode encourages you to reflect, remember, and honor transitional experiences.
This past weekend marked the one year anniversary of my Aunt Caron’s death. If you’ve been listening for a while, you know Aunt Caron meant a lot to me. We spent a lot of time living near each other, having similar hobbies, and she was just an amazing human being overall.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP134’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. People who knew my aunt will mention how she made each person feel special. She exudes this radiance of confidence, support, love, and understanding. We still miss my Aunt Caron, so the anniversary of her death is both beautiful and hard.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about taking time to reflect, remember, and honor how we are healing so far as we think on milestones of loss or significant moments in life. I was able to celebrate my Aunt Caron with loved ones and came away from the gathering with thoughts on how people honor the journey of life. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- What is an anniversary that is near and dear to your heart that you are looking forward to celebrating?
- What are you doing to reflect upon your own growth or your struggle?
- If you feel you’re struggling, have you thought about asking for help?
- As you reflect, what are you carrying forward and bringing with you to express yourself?
Each of us deserves to be seen and honored. Acknowledging the impact of a transitional experience in our life allows us to express that to ourselves and others.
Honor your truth and how you personally evolved in the time that’s passed so you can become conscious of the direction you’re heading. Process your reflection with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- As you process the reflection, what are the ways you will hold space for that experience?
- Will you create enough space and vulnerability to uncover and release the feelings you need to?
- As you celebrate the anniversary, what personal stories are you willing to share to vulnerably connect?
- Can you hold space for someone else to share their truth with you?
- How can you nurture that connection to form deeper relationships?

You know what you want to share with the world. You have the intention, but perhaps you didn’t allow yourself to truly imagine and feel what it would be like to bring that into reality. This episode encourages you to express your inner truth.
Last week, I watched a big beautiful full moon rise over the ocean. My friends were present and our time together was chill and introspective. I felt inspired to share different ways to honor the full moon cycle with my friends. They were so open to learning more about how I welcome new phases of the moon and I wanted to tell you how things went.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP133’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. We took time to reflect on our intentions without judgment. The ritual allowed us to ask these questions:
-
- What is one thing you are grateful for?
- What is an intention you want to manifest?
- What do you need to release in order to create easy flow for that intention to come true?
On our Wise Walk, I talk about learning to express your inner truth. If there’s something deep inside calling you to action, honoring what you’re feeling helps light up the world. It’s just a matter of trusting yourself to understand your own light. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- What are you grateful for?
- What is one thing that immediately brings a smile to your face, warms your heart, or touches your soul on a deep level?
- What’s an intention that’s calling you right now?
Not everyone wants to drop into their inner truth and not everyone takes time to slow down. It’s worth it to find the ones who do so that you can inspire each other.
Release obstacles, whether situations or mindsets, that hold you back from your intentions. Commit to your beautiful intentions with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- What is an intention you want to set for yourself so you feel aligned as you move forward?
- What is one thing that is holding you back from achieving that intention?
- How can you let it go so you can feel supported to express yourself?
- As you drop into your heart with this ritual, what is an intention that you know you’re ready to express?

It’s finally Spring! I love this time of year where it feels like anything is possible. We’re getting out of the cold and looking forward to new opportunities. Like nature budding and blooming around us, we’re full of life.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP132’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. I just spent time with my sister, Heather, to bring my backyard to life. I decided to add vibrancy to give it a welcoming feeling. It took a lot of work for the changes we made and I’ll probably be sore for the next week, but the beauty we created makes it worth the effort.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about how to jumpstart new energy and new life for yourself this spring. Tapping into my Joy Frequency and incorporating what sparked my curiosity gave me a boost of energy. You can do the same. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:

- What are things you’re overlooking in your life that you want to breathe new life into for this spring?
- What’s the feeling you want to create when you’re in your different environments?
- As you think about the feelings you want to create, what part of your life comes to mind?
The new energy I gained rippled outwards and caught the eye of my neighbors as well. It sparked a few conversations. By bringing a pop of vibrancy in my own life, I was able to have closer connections with others.
As you spring new life for yourself, you may attract people who resonate with what fuels your passion. Inspire new connections with these Wise Walk questions:

Food provides the nutrients for us to show up fully in life. What we eat impacts our energy, our focus, and our physical body. The same can be said for the media and experiences we ingest through our five senses. This episode talks about noticing what you’re consuming.
My first recollection of reading the ingredients on food was during my childhood at a restaurant with my family and becoming aware that my grandma had an allergy. My grandma needed to be careful about what she ate in case it had soy or soybean oil. This makes me wonder about how intentional we are with what we’re ingesting. Do we know how what we consume influences us?
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP131’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. As the years went by, I noticed that I developed the same allergy. Soy and soybean oil are used in pretty much everything these days, so I have a heightened sense and awareness about double checking what I’m allowing into my system.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about noticing what we’re consuming in life. This is a chance to become very attentive and collaborative with yourself and those around you to make sure you consume what energizes you. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- What are you consuming and are you able to have clear visibility into what you’re bringing into your body, mind, and heart?
- Do you know what energy you are surrounding yourself with and how it’s impacting you?
- If it’s a positive impact, how can you consume more of it?
- If it’s a negative impact, how can you eliminate it from your consumption?
When we have clear answers we can make the best choices for ourselves. It also empowers our support system to help us curate our experiences.
Noticing what feels right and what feels off helps you stay in alignment. Keep yourself on the path of health and overall wellbeing with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- As you consumed in daily life, what reaction is that sparking in your body, mind, and heart?
- Are you honoring what those reactions are telling you?
- What are the behaviors in your life that can help you process your consumption and honor your feelings?

We always try to get the most out of something, even if it means depleting the source. It’s not that we want to deplete anything, we simply think there’s a little more we can pull out before it ends. Instead, why don’t we learn to take a pause and reenergize our source? This episode talks about keeping your batteries charged.
This morning I got up to run errands and the car battery was dead. It didn’t startle me. I prepared just for this moment. I have an extra battery to jump start my own car, only, it’s been so cold in Florida the backup battery actually wasn’t working that day. That, I didn’t see coming. My car battery situation is a bit like life: If we don’t pay attention to how we’re taking care of ourselves, not even a backup plan can help us.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP130’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. The situation reminded me not to overdo it and exhaust myself, especially while I’m recovering from being sick. I’m so excited to hop back into life, but I need to be mindful of what expectations I set for myself. That’s why I chose to reprioritize what I’m focusing on.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about keeping our batteries charged so we can remain active participants in our lives. We should look for what will help sustain our light. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- How are you feeling right now in this moment?
- Are you energized or depleted?
- If you feel drained, what can you do to change that?
- What were the practices you incorporated in your life that made you feel energized?
- Did you find a balance for managing your priorities?
- Did you find balance in a playful way?
Questioning your priorities helps you continue what supports your being and inspires you to be selective of anything outside of that. It’s an honest filter to remove distractions and unnecessary expectations.
You need a charged battery to fully enjoy all the things that really matter in your life. Let’s feel energized and engaged with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Have you found a way to carve out “me” time for yourself?
- What do you like to do with that time and how does it make you feel?
- Can you do something that you love and then share it with others?
- What are the specific practices that help you reset?
- Are there opportunities for you to connect with friends to ask for support?

Most times our uncertainty misguides us. Uneasy feelings have us choose the less aligned option between our dream choice and a reasonable choice. It doesn’t need to be like that. Surely, there must be a way to make room for our dream choice. This episode talks about going after what you really want.
I’m so happy to share that I’m starting to feel like myself again after being sick. I’m regaining my energy. With that, I can say I reconnected with some practices that are meaningful to me. Things such as working out and doing meditation. It’s really energizing and more aligned to what I want in my life.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP129’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. Reconnecting to my interests reinforced the idea that it’s more possible to know what we want if we slow down, reflect, and ask questions. Are you examining what you invite into your life? Are you aware of what you give your energy to?
On our Wise Walk, I talk about going beyond what we “can” have and giving ourselves permission to have what we really want. Once you are clear about what you want, you get to build a space for your dream to thrive. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Are you aware of what you really want?
- As options present themselves, are you sticking to what you really want or settling?
- Do you want to live with “good enough” or what feels more aligned?
- As you reflect on past experiences, what’s an example of where you knew what you really wanted and proactively communicated it to spark momentum towards it?
- If you struggle with this idea of going after what you really want, what are the limiting beliefs holding you back?
If you are making choices based on what you’re convinced you “should” do or what “makes sense,” that’s okay. At the same time, make room to get clarity on your actual desires, so you can start living in your truth.
Hold space to bring in those opportunities that support what you really want. Claim what you want for your life with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- How can you shift to an energy of inviting what your heart is really calling?
- What’s it going to take for you to manifest and pursue what you really really want?
- As you connect to your inner knowing, do you remember how you want to show up in this life?
- Are you living that way on some level or have you gotten disconnected from it?
- If you curiously ask your inner child about this, what answers come up?
- As answers surface, is there an opportunity for you to align more closely to what you really want?

Do you ever get the feeling the Universe is trying to tell you something? Perhaps you keep seeing the same numbers or hearing the same phrase said around you. You notice the consistency of these coincidences and they suddenly don’t seem like a coincidence anymore. This episode talks about symbols of transformation.
I live in a lovely beach town and have been living here the past five years. People see snakes, poisonous and non-poisonous, in the area all the time, but I’ve seen maybe five snakes at most since living here. Then, I encountered four non-poisonous snakes by my door this past week. It’s unique and rare for that to happen around me. So much so, that it feels like a message.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP128’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. Anytime something happens that’s out of sync with my natural rhythm, I pay attention. I hope you do too when those moments appear in your life. Symbols can be our first sign that a transformation is taking place soon, or that we’re on the right path for our transformation.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about symbols of transformation guiding us to the next step. I believe that the Universe sends us signals and helps us reground, pay attention, or get in touch with our inner wisdom at these moments of change and transformation. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Are you receiving signals that are trying to get you to slow down and pay attention to where you are in life and where you’re going?
- Are you receiving more than one symbol or message that sparks your curiosity?
- As you get curious and dig a little deeper on the symbol’s meaning, what feels aligned that you can take away from this message in order to inform your present situation?
- If you haven’t had any symbols, can you go inward with this snake story Mary Tess shared?
- What are the things that come up for you as you step into all of your senses?
One great thing about symbols is that they recenter your focus. It’s like a reminder to watch where you’re going.
Symbols inspire me to reevaluate what feels aligned in life and choose what I’m letting into my life more intentionally. Notice your symbols of transformation with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Where do you feel you can put more energy?
- Where do you feel you can release what’s not serving you?
- Do you miss having alone time and hibernation time to reflect?
- How can you reclaim that?
- As you reevaluate your priorities, how do you want to reinvent yourself?
- What’s really important to you right now?
- Where can you bravely accept vulnerability to listen to your senses?
- As you stay grounded, where can you embrace your inner confidence and celebrate your milestones?

Can you change your mindset to reset your experience with love? Taking a step back, and coming from a place of love, allows us to view situations from a different angle. We can usually find an angle that benefits us and works in our favor. This episode talks about how to reset with love.
I want to start by acknowledging the beautiful, heartfelt, and healing emails and feedback that I received from you, my fellow Striders. I’m so grateful you took the time to reach out and share your takeaways from the previous episode. It was nice talking about how we can ascend when we’re feeling down. I shared how I had to reprogram my awareness to look at the situation differently and in my favor.
I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP127’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. Among the messages I received, there is one email I want to share with you. A fellow Strider shared reflections on not only the importance of viewing things in a new light, but also a suggestion on how to do just that.
On our Wise Walk, I talk about how to approach experiences with a loving perspective. We can remove our limited view to build back something healthier and more useful to our journey. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:
-
- Where in your life are you struggling and what new perspective will help you reset your experience with love?
- How are you taking time to slow down and celebrate your accomplishments and how you show up?
- As you look at the things in life that you’re striding towards, are you building time in your schedule to reset with love?
Having a set time to rebuild your perspective gives you room to be more intentional. In this way, you get to be optimistic and realistic with your perspective through love, acceptance, and resourcefulness.
Each Wise Walk is a chance to ascend and love each other as we continue to elevate and grow together. Bring in the love with these Wise Walk questions:
-
- If there is an area of life you feel weighed down in, what perspective can you try on to reset with love and support?
- Can you see the opportunity to rebuild?
- What do you need to release?
