Food provides the nutrients for us to show up fully in life. What we eat impacts our energy, our focus, and our physical body. The same can be said for the media and experiences we ingest through our five senses. This episode talks about noticing what you’re consuming.

My first recollection of reading the ingredients on food was during my childhood at a restaurant with my family and becoming aware that my grandma had an allergy. My grandma needed to be careful about what she ate in case it had soy or soybean oil. This makes me wonder about how intentional we are with what we’re ingesting. Do we know how what we consume influences us?

I’m here to spend quality solo time with you for EP131’s Wise Walk as we discover our True Stride. As the years went by, I noticed that I developed the same allergy. Soy and soybean oil are used in pretty much everything these days, so I have a heightened sense and awareness about double checking what I’m allowing into my system.

On our Wise Walk, I talk about noticing what we’re consuming in life. This is a chance to become very attentive and collaborative with yourself and those around you to make sure you consume what energizes you. Come with me as we reflect on these Wise Walk questions:

    • What are you consuming and are you able to have clear visibility into what you’re bringing into your body, mind, and heart?
    • Do you know what energy you are surrounding yourself with and how it’s impacting you?
    • If it’s a positive impact, how can you consume more of it?
    • If it’s a negative impact, how can you eliminate it from your consumption?

When we have clear answers we can make the best choices for ourselves. It also empowers our support system to help us curate our experiences.

Noticing what feels right and what feels off helps you stay in alignment. Keep yourself on the path of health and overall wellbeing with these Wise Walk questions:

    • As you consumed in daily life, what reaction is that sparking in your body, mind, and heart?
    • Are you honoring what those reactions are telling you?
    • What are the behaviors in your life that can help you process your consumption and honor your feelings?
